This has been a much loved tandem over the years, but we've gone electric these days, to save our knees, so this lovely bike is looking for a new home.  Stored for the last two years, it's a low mileage bike as we've been very much summer riders.  Available to view near Dorchester, Dorset.

It was designed by Pete Bird, we bought it from JD Tandems in 2005 who built it to our specification.

Frame size is medium / small, suits 6’1” front and 5’ rear with room to spare, especially the rear

700C wheels, 48 spoke Mavic rims and Synergy hubs, Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres

32 – 42 – 52 TA chainset with 170mm Shimano Ultegra cranks, Shimano Ultegra front mech

11 – 34 9 speed Shimano cassette with Shimano XT rear mech

Shimano Ultegra STI brake / gear levers, Avid BB7 cable callipers and Avid 203mm discs

LX rim brake with bar end lever on front bars

TA Crossover chain rings 34 teeth

Brooks saddle front, Selle Royal cushion seat rear with suspension post.

Cateye dual wheel computer

Front and rear racks

All brakes and gears operated from the front bars

Adjustable reach stoker bars

Spare 26” wheel set, Alex rims on Synergy hubs, Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres

4 Bottle cages

Various spares including tyres for both 700C & 26” wheelsets.

In good working order, in need of a little TLC befitting the minimal wear and tear from 17 years and only 10815 miles of riding, mostly Spring, Summer and Autumn.
